It is not possible to reinstall Windows without the proper media. On the other hand, if you post a question with an exact error message, someone may be able to help you. With OEM computers, like your Gateway, the manufacturer is responsible for replacing lost media.
See How to replace Microsoft software or hardware. Depending on how old your "old Gateway" is, you may or may not be able to obtain a replacement. You are more than welcome.
